Our Partnership: Driving 'No Boundaries' Across Kent

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that the Kent Reliance Community Foundation has awarded a grant to the Kent Cricket Community Trust (KCCT)! This funding is all about getting their fantastic new 'No Boundaries' youth engagement minibus on the road and making a real difference to young people across Kent.

This isn’t just any bus; it’s a mobile hub of fun and opportunity. The whole idea behind the 'No Boundaries' initiative is to roll up right where young people are, bringing sport and positive activities directly to their doorstep. Our goal, working with KCCT, is to create safe, inclusive spaces that help spark community spirit and encourage young people to get involved.

What the Minibus Brings to the Community

The 'No Boundaries' minibus is truly kitted out! It’s an interactive space packed with sports gear, gaming consoles, and a music deck, meaning KCCT can tailor their activities to what each local community needs.

By taking these resources directly to young people, the programme offers a positive place for connection, skill-building, and physical activity, which is a powerful way to address youth-related anti-social behaviour.

Crucially, this new minibus will be a game-changer for KCCT's Street Cricket Hubs and their work with other local partners. It allows them to reach young people who might otherwise miss out on organised sports and positive social activities.

Why We Are Supporting This Project

Jonathan Couch, our Head of Grants at the Foundation, shared his enthusiasm for what the minibus will achieve:

"We wholeheartedly believe that every young person deserves the chance to explore their potential, and the Kent Cricket Community Trust is doing incredible work to make that a reality. The 'No Boundaries' minibus is such an exciting and unique project, and we’re absolutely delighted to support them on this journey."

And the feeling is mutual! Liz Davidson-Kennett, vice-chair of the KCCT, told us:

"This is a truly great and unique asset for our charity to deliver street cricket and other sport and activity-based initiatives for young people across Kent. We are incredibly grateful to the Kent Reliance Community Foundation for their help, support, and for awarding us this grant to enable the project to happen."

This grant means the Kent Cricket Community Trust can significantly expand its reach and impact. We’re proud to help them turn the spirit of cricket into a real force for positive change, building a more connected and resilient community for us all.
